Duck, Duck, Goose... I mean Duck...

Aidan & I had some visitors today. The ducks that come to the pond across the street came up today. We feed them a couple of slices of bread and enjoyed their visit. Time for us to go in...Bye Bye ducks...

That was my thought, too!

I don't remember the name of the place...I just remember Pepa taking us to feed ducks and fish for perch early in the morning. Early to me as a 7 year-old anyway. In reality, it was probably 10:15. But I remember going in that old truck with the camper over the bed...was it a brown truck...two-toned? Mainly, I can recall the smell of it, the rough weave of the fabric and those old chrome seatbelts. I remember a small little wooden pier and Pepa's laugh. I love the way he could be excited and calm in the same breath and I love remembering him, just like Aidan is going to love remembering his grandparents.

OH man I had forgotten about that truck but you saying something about it brought it all back! I use to think it was so cool getting to sit in the bed :D
Ace looks JUST LIKE Larr in that 3rd picture!!

Was it the brown/Tan Chevrolet Truck with the benches down the side? How he loved that truck. After he was not alowed to drive, he sold it and got me the little white Buick I still drive today. A kid that grew up in our neighborhood bought the truck. He loved it also.
Pepa enjoyed all of your trips to Zelker to swin, feed the ducks and fish. I am so glad you all remember him with so much love.
