Getting a New Roof!!!

We are finally getting a new roof because of damage done by the hail storm back in May. It is scarey to see those guys just standing at the tip top of our roof like nothing was going on. Made me nervous...

This is a shot of the back. There are about 8 guys working on the roof at on time so they really kick it out fast.

This is how they get the old shingles into the truck to be hauled off. The roof about the garage is still old but above Brian's room is new. The electric vents will be replaced by manual spinning WhirlyBirds.

This shot is another old & new... the left is new & the right is old.

Over the den is new and over Kari's room is... well neither!!!

And talk about noisy... it sounds like a new Hitcock movie... "Attack of the Giant WoodPeckers!!!" Can't wait until they are done. Click on the pics for a larger view.

My oh my. I am glad my roof is more flat and not as big. I think I will leave home when they do it. HEHE I have been through this a few times before in Austin. We went from tar and gravel to roof tiles like this. The gravel was quicker, but soon wound up in the flower beds.
