The wind was really blowing today and this is the view heading on 271 heading into town from Powderly.
A telephone pole snapped in two on North Main.

UPDATE: The pole was snapped in two due to a pole across the street breaking.

The view from the second floor the other night. We drove out that way & it looked like something was burning just north of Camp Maxey.Never did know what happened. Didn't see anything in the Paris News. Sorry it was blurred but didn't get the tripod out... oh well..

Gee, that sand and wind was really something. I drove out to Blossom around four and I thought I was in Lubbock. Before the sun went down, it peeped through the sand, so guess it had gone on to Arkansas and beyond.
Thanks for the pictures. Mema.
Wouldn't you hate to live where that is a common occurrence?
